Capital-Region famous Bella Napoli Bakery has--hands down--the tastiest pies (and doughnuts, cookies, cupcakes, and cakes) around. Traditional, Italian, and kid-friendly holiday treats. Try the buttery dinner rolls, too--they are superior.

Does it get more tres chic than a "cupcakery cafe"? It certainly doesn't get more scrumptious. Beautiful gourmet cupcakes come in a full menu of flavors (like s'mores) and can be further customized with "selectable injectables." Located in the Downstreet Marketplace on Broadway, Bettie's has the whole pink-and-turquoise, black-and-white tile, 1950's thing going on. What if you don't want to trek to Saratoga? This part is even cooler. You can follow Bettie's mobile cupcakery (an old double-decker bus--downstairs cupcake counter, upstairs cafe) as it makes its way across the Capital Region (see web site). Talk about a sweet ride...
