Are you an authority on the area? Would everyone be better off if they listened to your advice? Do you have some local expertise?

Then you (yup, YOU) have the zen-like power to inform, enlighten, and enrich the lives of other moms in your community.

So if you’re somebody who knows what’s what—from the best bet for a kid’s birthday party to the prettiest pedicure for the price—we want to know about it. That’s right: it’s time for an mXc shout out.
(Business Owners/Reps: skip down to Get Buzz for your Biz!)

To see your review in lights, play by the MomXChange rules:
  • First thing’s first. To submit a review, you must be a member. Sign up here.
  • Honesty is the best policy. Reviews are most useful when they’re candid, honest, and based on your own particular experience of an establishment, service, event, or activity. (See caveat below.)
  • A Golden-Rule-Kind-of-Caveat: We don’t expect all reviews to be thoroughly glowing, but we do ask you to keep in mind that we are a family-friendly resource and that we won’t publish gratuitous skewering. Bottom line (no pun intended): We reserve the right to edit out all potty talk (and believe us, we are experts at that). So please be forthright but respectful, and try to make your criticism of the constructive variety. In short, play nice.
  • Be specific. Specifics are generally helpful and interesting, so give us the details! “Great place!” is mildly informative, but pretty generic and vague. Instead, try to explain or describe briefly what exactly makes the place you’re reviewing so, well, great.
  • No novels. We want you to have fun with your review and, by all means, we hope you’ll get creative, but do try to keep reviews digestible, probably around 100-200 words. If you’ve got lots more to say, then why not start a conversation on the mXc blog?
  • Business owners should not review themselves. This is not the spot for shameless plugs or tooting your own horn. If that’s what you want to do, we’re more than happy to help you do it. See Get Buzz for your Biz below.
  • Disclaimers [do we need something special here? Or is this covered somewhere generally on the site? We’re not responsible, yada yada.]

Business Owners/Reps:

Get Buzz for Your Biz

The mXc goal is to be as comprehensive a family resource as possible. So if you don’t see your business listed in our directory, then please complete the Submit a Listing form.

Your basic listing is free. You heard right: F-R-E-E. In order to get a little fancy—to include photos, a detailed description of what you offer, a special promotion, etc. contact us about upgrading to an Enhanced Listing. For a limited time, we’re offering special Launch Rates, giving you a unique opportunity to take advantage of inexpensive advertising and power-packed exposure to women and families in our area.

While we ask that you not review your own business or service (that’s not really fair, after all), we welcome your response to member reviews—as long as you abide by our Play Nice rules and identify yourself as the owner/representative.

As mothers who value our local establishments and understand their vital importance to thriving communities, we envision mXc as a positive resource that supports and promotes your success.

If you have any questions or wish to edit the information in our directory, please do not hesitate to contact us at keaghan@momxchange.com.
